Activate Exchange 2010 Mailbox Database server
In the Back-up Exchange 2010 sp1 blogs I recover a selection of a exchange environment to make a recovery of mailbox items for a user with Veeam SureBackup. But some times the recovered Exchange environment is not working properly because the restored mailbox server is not the active node.
I only backup one of the mailbox servers (of two who are part of the same DAG) and the File Share witness server. But when I try to make a recovery it is sometimes not possible because the mailbox server that is in the back-up may is not the active server at the moment of the back-up. So I must active the mailbox server in the recovery environment to get it up and running for restoring mailbox items. This can be done with this power shell command.
