Getting Metro-Apps on your Windows 8/Server 2012 desktop
In the new Windows 8 or Server 2012 it can be annoying to switch back en forth to be able to use the Metro-apps. So why not make a shortcut to use the Metro-apps directly from your desktop.
First log on to your machine and go to your desktop.
On the desktop right click on the desktop en choose new –> shortcut.
Name the shortcut:
%windir%\explorer.exe shell:::{4234d49b-0245-4df3-b780-3893943456e1}
Next.
Name your shortcut (apps) and press Finish.
Now u got a new shortcut on your desktop directly to your Metro-apps. ![]()
